ORDERING INFORMATION
COLLECTION AND ORDERING
Collection Days: Monday and Thursday
All cancellations must be made by 10:00 am CST on date of collection. Semen orders cancelled after 10:00 AM CST will be charged $100 late fee.
Orders may be placed Monday through Friday.
Saturday delivery is available to many locations at an additional charge of $16.00.
Volume and commercial semen contracts are available.
During January, February, June, July, August and December, only boars with orders placed on them are collected. Check sire section for pricing.
SHIPPING AND DELIVERY
Semen is shipped UPS via Next Day Air Delivery unless otherwise noted at time of order.
We are pleased to offer $25 UPS Ground Shipping to our customers in all of Illinois & Indiana, as well as customers in parts of OH, KY, MI, WI, MO and IA. Contact our office with any questions. Must be requested at time of order.
Saturday Delivery is $16.
COD Charge is $14.50
To ensure proper delivery either leave a signed note on your door authorizing the driver to leave the package or sign up for UPS MyChoice where you can sign online and have control over your deliveries.
SEMEN PRICING
When semen collected exceeds orders we receive, we offer overrun discounts. Call after 11:00 pm CST on collection days for availability.
Each boar has his overrun price listed – click on boar to view his price or see the Pricing List. Call for contract prices, volume discounts and breed specific pricing.
Hi Point Genetics, Inc. was the first company to offer overrun semen. We understand many customers use this tool to manage costs. To aid in this process, please call in advance to estimate the potential for overrun and help ensure breed selection.
Payment options
All semen purchased must be pre-paid. No open accounts.
We accept all major credit cards (Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Discover), or will ship your order C.O.D.
There is an additional $14.50 charge on C.O.D. shipments
SEmen handling
Upon delivery, store semen in a cool dark place at 60-65°F.
IMPORTANT – Do not refrigerate
We recommend using semen as soon as possible. However, we use Safe Cell extender, which generally sustains viable semen for 7 – 10 days.
Use a new spirette for each mating.
Breeding SUpplies
Rods must be shipped separate from semen orders and are charged accordingly($2.50/pkg of 5). We suggest pre-ordering your breeding supplies.
Breeding supplies inventory and pricing is available under the Price List.
A.I. Certificate request
All AI breeding certificates are now processed online.
To secure your certificate, you must provide us with your herdmark, breeding date and service sire. AI breeding certificates are $35. Payment must be received before we will process your certificate.
Accounts must be current to issue Breeding Certificates.
Exclusion of Warranties
Although artificial insemination is a unique concept, it is generally successful in the breeding of livestock. However, Hi Point Genetics cannot control nor be responsible for the conditions in which its boar semen (“product”) is used or the techniques used in the application thereof. Hi Point makes no warranty of any kind, expressed or implied, as to the quality of its product, its productiveness, or the results which may be obtained by its use. No employee, agent, or servant of Hi Point shall have authority to make any such warranty in any form.
HI POINT MAKES NO WARRANTY OR MERCHANTABILITY OF THE PRODUCT, AND NO WARRANTY, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, OF THE PRODUCTS FITNESS FOR ANY PURPOSE.
If there is any failure in the delivery or delay in transit, or if the product is lost, damaged, or determined to be defective, Hi Point may at its option replace the product or refund the purchase price. The liability of Hi Point shall in any event be limited to either replacement of the product or refund of the purchase price and shall not extend to any other claim or liability whatsoever. In no event shall Hi Point be liable for consequential or incidental damages.
